Durango – Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad
In continuous operation for over 123 years, the
historic Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad offers
passengers an opportunity to relive the glory days of the railroad.
Ride behind vintage steam locomotives on a spectacular journey
between these two historic Colorado mountain communities. During
the summer months, daily service between Durango and Silverton is
available; while in the winter months, daily round-trips run from
Durango to Cascade Canyon.
Mesa
Verde National Park
Celebrating its centennial in 2006, Mesa Verde
National Park offers visitors a glimpse at more than 700 years of
history of the Ancestral Pueblo people that lived in the Four
Corners area from approximately 600 through 1300 A.D. Today,
remnants of their elaborate cliff dwellings in the canyon walls of
this magnificent area can be explored alone or on a tour with a
Park Ranger. To fully enjoy Mesa Verde National Park, plan to
spend a day or two exploring the fascinating archeological sites
as well as the beautiful landscape. The entrance to the park is 35
miles west of Durango on US Highway 160.

Ridgewood Event Center
Ridge Wood Event Center the Ranch can accommodate
up to 150 participants for events from May until October. From
October to May the Ranch hosts smaller events, such as small
weddings, corporate retreats, reunions, and workshops.

Sailplanes are towed aloft by a power plane to an
altitude of 9,000 to 9,500 feet and then released. As you soar
like an eagle back to the glider port, you will be able to see the
beautiful San Juan Mountains, around 100 miles of scenery in any
direction, plus the Animas River winding through the valley.

The underground world of the hard rock miner is
rarely seen by "outsiders". Now you, too, can go
"on shift" and see the earth from the inside out. A one-hour, guided tour takes you 1/3 mile into Galena Mountain where you
follow the vein and learn how mining was done.
